Welcome to Clare and Daniel Gordon's photo-diaries
We hope you enjoy these. They are mainly from the north of Scotland.
Most of these photos were taken with a digital "point-and-shoot" camera, but one with a good wide lens on it. (2005-2011 was an Olympus, 8 MegaPixels, and 2011-present a Sony 14 MegaPixels). Older photos are scans from prints on a non-digital camera.
Some are taken with optical zoom - you can usually tell which they are. Some are cropped or slightly rotated. A few of the more recent ones are taken with backlight-correction: this is where the camera takes three shots in very quick succession, at different exposures, to better handle strong contrasts of light. This can however wash the colours out a bit. Otherwise we have kept the photos true to what the camera "saw".
