Materials
Brass rings from Henry's Buttons.
Various threads.
Notes
- Button 1 - pale blue: Dorset Cartwheel Button, made on 16 mm brass ring with DMC Coton Perle size 8, shade 926.
- Button 2 - royal blue: Tried a bit of a swirl, but thread was too thick to do enough rounds. DMC Coton Perle size 5, shade 796.
- Button 3: Dorset Cartwheel again - variegated red/green. 16 mm brass ring, Caron Collection Wildflowers, colour Far Horizons. Looks great, but twisted and knotted more than Perle did.
- Button 4 - yellow: Basket weave design. 23 mm brass ring, DMC Coton Perle size 5, shade 445.
- Button 5 - two shades of purple: Swanston Spiral variation. 32 mm brass ring, DMC Coton Perle size 5, shades 211 (pale) and 553 (darker).
- Button 6 - bluey silver: Basket weave design again. 23 mm brass ring, DMC Coton Perle size 8, shade 762. Works better in size 8 than size 5 (see button 4).
- Button 7 - bluey silver with blue beads: Basket weave design. 32 mm brass ring, DMC Coton Perle size 8, shade 762, blue Swarovski beads (about 3 mm).
- Button 8 - bright yellow: Basket weave design. 23 mm brass ring, DMC Coton Perle size 5, shade 444.
- Button 9 - bright red: Swanston Spiral variation. 32 mm brass ring, DMC Coton Perle size 5, shade 666.
