Materials
Orkney Angora lace yarn, purple, 50g.
4mm needles.
Notes
Lovely pattern.
Followed a suggestion by someone on Ravelry to make this with less than the full weight of yarn. Started with "small" centre but then did edging as for "large". Had plenty of yarn left over.
Orkney Angora is gorgeously soft, but sheds fluff like mad. Also disappointed to find loads of knots so have ended up with lots of ends to sew in.
Casting off seemed to take for ever!
11th May 2010 - Gave to Mum for her 70th birthday. She seemed to like it - so did Freya!
Note: Helen says that this yarn wouldn't be good for contact lens wearers due to all the fluff that floats off.
