Rainbow feather and fan blanket

Pattern
Based on cobweb crepe shawl in S. Miller, Heirloom Knitting.
Materials
King Cole Merino Blend superwash wool, DK. in various colours.
4mm knitting needles.
Notes
Diamond centre - maximum 90 stitches.
Started border in garter stitch but it looked rather lumpy. Tried out stocking stitch and preferred that, so undid what I had already done on borders and started again in stocking stitch.
15/3/07 - Still have loads of ends to sew in but will steadily work through those.
Finished sewing in ends - 18/3/07.
Given to Helen and Gary for Freya, April 2007.
